Abstract
Systems and techniques for managing biological signals. In one implementation, a method includes receiving a cardiac biological signal that includes information describing events, determining a merit of each event based on one or more of a severity of a cardiac condition associated with the event and a quality of the event, and handling a subset of the events that meet a merit criterion. The subset can be handled for medical purposes.
Claims21
1-25. (canceled)
A method, comprising:
- receiving a cardiac biological signal that includes information describing two or more events;
- determining a measure of relevance of each event based on one or more of a severity of a cardiac condition associated with the event and a quality of the event;
- allocating a first event to a data structure based on determining that the measure of relevance of the event meets a measure of relevance criterion;
- wherein a second event was allocated to the data structure before the first event was allocated to the data structure;
- and
- processing, for medical purposes, a proper subset of the events that have measures of relevance meeting the measure of relevance criterion.
3 more elements
A method comprising:
- receiving a biological signal;
- identifying an event in the biological signal, the event of greater relevance for a certain purpose than an average relevance of the biological signal;
- determining a measure of relevance of the event for the certain purpose;
- comparing the measure of relevance of the event with a second measure of relevance of a second event to identify a more relevant event;
- creating an episode describing the more relevant event;
- associating the episode with a time span in which the events occurred;
- and
- transmitting the association of the episode and the time span to a remote receiver.
5 more elements
A system, comprising:
- means for receiving a cardiac biological signal that includes information describing two or more events;
- means for determining a measure of relevance of each event based on one or more of a severity of a cardiac condition associated with the event and a quality of the event;
- means for allocating a first event to a data structure based on determining that the measure of relevance of the event meets a measure of relevance criterion;
- wherein a second event was allocated to the data structure before the first event was allocated to the data structure;
- and
- means for processing, for medical purposes, a proper subset of the events that have measures of relevance meeting the measure of relevance criterion.
