Abstract
This disclosure describes, among other things, techniques for waking a user by changing the user's sleep environment. In one example, a method includesreceiving, at a central controller of an air mattress system, at least one user alarm setting, generating, via the central controller, at least one instruction based on the received user alarm setting, and transmitting, from the central controller, the at least one instruction to a first component of the air mattress system to adjust a feature of the first component.

-15. (canceled)
A bed system comprising:
- an air mattress;
- a pressure sensor;
- and
- a central controller comprising:
- a processor configured to:
- receive at least one user alarm setting that specifies a desired time window to wake up a user of the bed system and specifies a desired process for waking up the user;
- store, to computer memory, the alarm settings;
- determine that a current time is within the time window;
- and
- responsive to determining that the current time is within the desired time window, issue commands configured to initiate the desired processes;
- and
- a pump in fluidic communication with the air mattress.
A system comprising:
- a first bed, comprising:
- a first pressure sensor;
- and
- a first central controller comprising:
- a first processor configured to:
- determine presence of a first user in the first bed system using the pressure sensor;
- and
- responsive to a determination that the first user is not in the first bed system, send an alert to a second bed system;
- and
- the second bed system, comprising:
- a second pressure sensor;
- and
- a second central controller comprising:
- a second processor configured to:
- receive the alert from the first bed system;
- and
- responsive to receiving the alert from the first bed system, issue commands configured to initiate a wake-up process for a second user of the second bed system.
A bed system comprising:
- a mattress including a pad that is configured to receive a fluid to be pushed through the pad;
- and
- a temperature control system including at least one controller and at least one temperature sensor, wherein the controller comprises a processor configured to:
- receive at least one user alarm setting to wake up a user of the bed system;
- store, to computer memory, the user alarm setting;
- and
- responsive to determining that a time requirement of the user alarm setting has been met, issue commands configured to initiate a desired process that includes changing temperature of the pad of the mattress by pushing the fluid through the pad.
