Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for capability information for sounding reference signal (SRS) improvements. An exemplary method generally includes determining a capability of the UE related to additional sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in a normal uplink (UL) subframe; transmitting, to a base station (BS), capability information indicating the determined capability of the UE; receiving SRS configuration information, wherein the SRS configuration information is based, at least in part, on the capability information; and transmitting at least one SRS in accordance with the SRS configuration information.
Claims30
An apparatus for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- at least one processor configured to:
- determine a capability of the UE related to additional sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in a normal uplink (UL) subframe;
- transmit, to a base station (BS), capability information indicating the determined capability of the UE;
- receive SRS configuration information, wherein the SRS configuration information is based, at least in part, on the capability information;
- and
- transmit at least one SRS in accordance with the SRS configuration information;
- and
- a memory coupled with the at least one processor.
An apparatus for wireless communication by a base station (BS) in a network, comprising:
- at least one processor configured to:
- receive, from a user equipment (UE), capability information indicating a capability of the UE related to additional sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in a normal uplink (UL) subframe;
- transmit SRS configuration information to the UE, wherein the SRS configuration information is based, at least in part, on the received capability information;
- and
- receive at least one SRS transmitted in accordance with the SRS configuration information;
- and
- a memory coupled with the at least one processor.
A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- determining a capability of the UE related to additional sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in a normal uplink (UL) subframe;
- transmitting, to a base station (BS), capability information indicating the determined capability of the UE;
- receiving SRS configuration information, wherein the SRS configuration information is based, at least in part, on the capability information;
- and
- transmitting at least one SRS in accordance with the SRS configuration information.
A method for wireless communication by a base station (B S) in a network, comprising:
- receiving, from a user equipment (UE), capability information indicating a capability of the UE related to additional sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in a normal uplink (UL) subframe;
- transmitting SRS configuration information to the UE, wherein the SRS configuration information is based, at least in part, on the received capability information;
- and
- receiving at least one SRS transmitted in accordance with the SRS configuration information.
