Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a vehicle control device mounted on a vehicle and a method for controlling the vehicle. A vehicle control device according to the present disclosure is a vehicle control device that controls a vehicle platooning with at least one other vehicle, the vehicle control device including: a communication portion communicating with the at least one other vehicle; and a control portion calculating a sensing range allocated to each of the at least one other vehicle in the platooning based on an arrangement pattern of the platooning.
Claims20
A vehicle control device for controlling a vehicle that is driven in a platoon with at least one other vehicle, the vehicle control device comprising:
- a communication interface configured to communicate with the at least one other vehicle;
- and
- a controller configured to, based on an arrangement pattern of the platoon, calculate at least one sensing range that is allocated to the at least one other vehicle, respectively, in the platoon.
A method for controlling a vehicle that performs platooning with at least one other vehicle, the method comprising:
- communicating with the least one other vehicle;
- and
- calculating at least one sensing range allocated to the at least one other vehicle based on an arrangement pattern of the platooning.
