System and method for content creation tool for use with shoppable content data

A method for providing a content creation tool, including object detection within digital content or images, for use with shoppable content, comprising:

• providing a content management system including a processor and memory, that enables creation of publishable digital content that incorporates one or more instances of shoppable objects associated with a commerce provider and products;
• and
• performing automatic detection of shoppable objects within digital content, and determining products at a commerce provider repository to be mapped with the shoppable objects, for use in publishing shoppable content in web or other documents.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having instructions thereon, which when read and executed by a computer cause the computer to perform steps comprising:

• providing, at a content management system including a processor and memory, that enables creation of publishable digital content that incorporates one or more instances of shoppable objects associated with a commerce provider and products;
• and
• performing automatic detection of shoppable objects within digital content, and determining products at a commerce provider repository to be mapped with the shoppable objects, for use in publishing shoppable content in web or other documents.
