Abstract
An orchestration platform processes transaction requests. The processing includes a series of processing steps. Advices are applied to extract status information before and after execution of at least some of the processing steps. The extracted status information is provided to a transaction monitoring system that provides a user interface for monitoring transaction status. When exceptions occur in transaction processing, the user interface may enable additional information to be provided that addresses the transaction to enable transaction processing to resume.
Claims20
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising computer program code that, when executed by a computing device, causes the computing device to perform operations including:
- receiving a transaction request at a transaction orchestration platform;
- processing the transaction request by the transaction orchestration platform, the processing including a plurality of transaction processing steps;
- extracting information during the processing with a plurality of advices, each advice applied before or after a corresponding one of the plurality of transaction processing steps, the extracted information including information about an exception that prevented completion of processing of the transaction request;
- providing the extracted information to a transaction monitoring system;
- receiving additional information regarding mitigating the exception;
- and
- resuming processing of the transaction request based on the additional information.
A computer-implemented method for transaction lifecycle monitoring, the method comprising:
- receiving transaction data extracted from a transaction request by a plurality of advices, each advice located at a different point in a series of transaction processing steps applied to the transaction request;
- populating a data object corresponding to the transaction request based on the data extracted from the transaction request;
- generating status information indicating a status of the transaction request based on the data object;
- and
- providing the status information to a client device for display.
A transaction processing system, comprising:
- a transaction orchestration platform including:
- an input module configured to receive a transaction request;
- a plurality of transaction request processing modules configured to sequentially perform a corresponding plurality of transaction processing steps on the transaction request;
- and
- a plurality of advices, each advice configured to extract transaction status information from before or after a corresponding one of the plurality of transaction processing steps;
- and
- a transaction monitoring system, communicatively coupled to the transaction orchestration platform, comprising:
- an ingestion module configured to receive the transaction status information extracted by the plurality of advices;
- and
- a GUI module configured to generate a GUI based on the transaction status information and provide the GUI to a client device for display, the GUI indicating a status of the transaction at a plurality of points during processing.
