Enrolment case for smart card

A blank (600) made of cellulosic fiber material for a card (10) case (50), comprising two adjacent and hinged panels (610, 620) intended to form the two faces (510, 520) of a envelope-like case (50) with dimensions that allow inserting a smart card (50) therein through a slot (51), an electrical circuit (550) being deposited directly on the cellulosic fiber material of at least a first one (610) of said panels, the electrical circuit including, on the first panel, contact studs (553) arranged so as to electrically connect electrical contacts (26) of the card (10) to a power supply interface (530) when the card is inserted into a first position in the envelope-like case.

A method for manufacturing a case (50) for a smart card (10), comprising the following steps:

• forming a blank (600) made of cellulosic fiber material, comprising two adjacent and hinged panels (610, 620) intended to form the two faces (510, 520) of a envelope-like case (50) with dimensions that allow inserting a smart card (10) therein through a slot (51), an electrical circuit (550) being deposited directly on the cellulosic fiber material of at least a first one (610) of said panels, the electrical circuit (550) including, on the first panel, contact studs (553) connected to a power supply interface (530),
• obtaining the envelope-like case (50) by folding and gluing the blank (600) so that the contact studs (553) electrically connect electrical contacts (26) of a card (10) to the power supply interface (530) when the card is inserted into a first position in the envelope-like case (50).
