System and method for quantifying augmented reality interaction

A system comprising:

• a processor;
• a camera;
• a display;
• and
• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
• capturing, via the camera, a video feed;
• extracting an image from the video feed;
• determining that the image corresponds to a stored image in a plurality of stored images stored in an image database, resulting in a determination;
• retrieving, based on the determination, interactive content associated with the stored image;
• and
• displaying, via the display, the interactive content as an augmented reality overlay.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored which, when executed by a computing device, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, from a camera, a video feed;
• extracting an image from the video feed;
• determining that the image corresponds to a stored image in a plurality of stored images stored in an image database, resulting in a determination;
• retrieving, based on the determination, interactive content associated with the stored image;
• and
• displaying, via a display, the interactive content as an augmented reality overlay.
