Abstract
Techniques involve avoiding a potential failure event on a disk array. Along these lines, data collected for a disk array are obtained. It is determined, based on the collected data, whether a potential failure event is to occur on the disk array. In response to determining that the potential failure event is to occur on the disk array, an action to be taken for the disk array is determined, to avoid occurrence of the potential failure event.
Claims20
A method of avoiding a potential failure event on a disk array, comprising:
- obtaining, by circuitry, data collected for the disk array;
- determining, based on the collected data and by the circuitry, whether the potential failure event is to occur on the disk array;
- and
- in response to determining that the potential failure event is to occur on the disk array, determining, by the circuitry, an action to be taken for the disk array, to avoid occurrence of the potential failure event.
A device for avoiding a potential failure event on a disk array, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing computer executable instructions, the computer executable instructions, when executed by the processor, causing the device to perform operations, the operation comprising:
- obtaining data collected for the disk array;
- determining, based on the collected data, whether the potential failure event is to occur on the disk array;
- and
- in response to determining that the potential failure event is to occur on the disk array, determining an action to be taken for the disk array, to avoid occurrence of the potential failure event.
A computer program product tangibly stored on a non-transient computer readable medium and comprising machine executable instructions, the machine executable instructions, when executed, causing a machine to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- obtaining data collected for the disk array;
- determining, based on the collected data, whether the potential failure event is to occur on the disk array;
- and
- in response to determining that the potential failure event is to occur on the disk array, determining an action to be taken for the disk array, to avoid occurrence of the potential failure event.
