Systems and methods for supplying and distributing power

A method comprising:

• receiving, with a central modular supply and distribution system, electrical power from a power source on a vehicle;
• wherein the central modular supply and distribution system provides power to a plurality of vehicle subsystems;
• wherein the central modular supply and distribution system is remote from the plurality of vehicle subsystems;
• determining, with power load logic in the central modular supply and distribution system and not within the plurality of vehicle subsystems, a power load requirement of the plurality of vehicle subsystems;
• determining, with hold-up logic in the central modular supply and distribution system and not within the plurality of vehicle subsystems, a hold-up requirement of at least one of the plurality of vehicle subsystems;
• conditioning, with power conditioning circuitry in the central modular supply and distribution system, the electrical power based, at least in part, on the power load requirement of each of the plurality of vehicle subsystems and the hold-up requirement of the at least one of the plurality of vehicle subsystems;
• generating, with a controller in the central modular supply and distribution system, distribution commands to control distribution of the conditioned electrical power based on the power load requirement of each of the plurality of vehicle subsystems and the hold-up requirement of the at least one of the plurality of vehicle subsystems;
• and
• dynamically distributing, with at least one power distribution bus, the conditioned electrical power from the modular supply and distribution system to the plurality of vehicle subsystems based, at least in part, on the distribution commands.
