Abstract
The present invention relates to a fluid filter for treating fluid, including a filter media for filtering the fluid, and a filter housing having a fluid impermeable plate to carry the filter media. The fluid outlets and the fluid outlets are arranged in a staggered manner in a height direction of the filter media, so that a flow path along which the fluid flows in the filter media is extended, preferably maximized, to provide an extended fluid residence time. The present invention also discloses a water container comprising the water filter and an air release device for discharge of air remaining in the water filter to an atmosphere.
Claims23
A fluid filter for treating fluid in a fluid container, comprising:
- a filter media for filtering the fluid, and
- a filter housing having a fluid impermeable plate to carry the filter media, wherein one or more fluid outlets are formed through the fluid impermeable plate to allow the fluid to flow out of the filter, said one or more fluid outlets are arranged at a position deviated from one or more fluid inlets in a height direction of the filter media, through the fluid inlets the fluid enters into an interior of the filter media, so that a flow path along which the fluid flows in the filter media is extended, preferably maximized to provide an extended fluid residence time.
