Abstract
A method for treating, remedying, or preventing inflammatory skin disorders by administering a therapeutically effective dose of at least one an antagonist of a calcitonin gene-related peptide receptor in a pharmaceutically acceptable formulation. A method of treating an inflammatory skin disease mediated by over-expression of a calcitonin gene-related peptide in an individual in need thereof, the method comprising applying to an edge of a lesion associated with the inflammatory skin disease a therapeutically effective dose of an antagonist of a calcitonin receptor-like receptor.
