Safety post

A safety device (100) for securing a person to a floor panel (151) of a shuttering system (150), the safety device (100) having:

• a safety post (101),
• a base element (102) that is attached to the safety post (101),
• wherein the base element (102) can be placed on a floor panel (151) of a shuttering system (150),
• wherein the safety post (101) has a personal safety element (103), to which the person can be selectively secured, and
• a securing mechanism (110) that has a securing carrier (117), on which at least one engaging element (111) is arranged,
• wherein the securing carrier (117) is coupled to the base element (102),
• wherein the engaging element (111) can be adjusted into a securing position and a release position,
• wherein the engaging element (111) in the securing position can be engaged with the shuttering system (150) in order to fix the base element (102) to the floor panel (151), and wherein the engaging element (111) can be decoupled from the shuttering system (150) in the release position in order to decouple the base element (102) from the floor panel (151).
