Abstract
A memory system of embodiments includes a container, a first circuit board, a second circuit board, and an optical cable. The container has a hole connecting inside and outside the container. The first circuit board is disposed outside the container and has a first circuit to convert a first electric signal to an optical signal. The second circuit board is disposed inside the container and has a memory device, and a second circuit to convert the optical signal into a second electric signal and storing the second electric signal in the memory device. The optical cable transmits the optical signal from the first circuit board through the hole to the second circuit board.
Claims9
A memory system, comprising:
- a container with a hole connecting inside and outside the container;
- a first circuit board disposed outside the container and having a first circuit configured to convert a first electric signal to an optical signal;
- a second circuit board disposed inside the container and having a memory device, and a second circuit configured to convert the optical signal into a second electric signal and store the second electric signal in the memory device;
- and
- an optical cable configured to transmit the optical signal from the first circuit board to the second circuit board through the hole.
A memory apparatus, comprising:
- a container made of wall member with thermal insulation structure, and having a hole for an optical cable through the wall member;
- and
- a circuit board housed in the container,
- the circuit board including:
- a light receiving circuit configured to receive an optical signal from the optical cable through the hole,
- a conversion circuit configured to convert the optical signal received by the light receiving circuit into an electric signal, and
- a memory device configured to store the electric signal.
A memory method using a memory system,
- the memory system comprising:
- a container with a hole,
- a first circuit board outside the container and configured to transmit optical signal,
- a second circuit board inside the container and configured to receive optical signal, and having a memory device, and
- an optical cable through the hole and connecting the first circuit board to the second circuit board,
- the method comprising:
- converting, by the first circuit board, a first electric signal as a memory target into an optical signal,
- transmitting, by the first circuit board, the optical signal,
- receiving, by the second circuit board, the optical signal transmitted by the first circuit board through the optical cable,
- converting, by the second circuit board, the optical signal into a second electric signal, and
- storing, by the second circuit board, the second electric signal in the memory device.
