## Abstract

The disclosure relates to a method of transmitting and receiving control information in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus therefor. According to an embodiment of the disclosure, the method may include receiving interruption configuration information via upper signaling from a base station (BS), when a format of an interruption indicator transmitted from the BS to a user equipment is determined based on the received interruption configuration information, searching for the interruption indicator, and identifying, based on the format of the interruption indicator, information included in the interruption indicator detected as a result of the searching.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method, performed by a user equipment (UE), of transmitting and receiving control information in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
obtaining a Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) for downlink control information (DCI) comprising a preemption indicator when an upper layer parameter about preemption is provided;
performing monitoring on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) via which the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is transmitted, based on the RNTI for the DCI comprising the preemption indicator; and
when the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is detected as a result of the performing of the monitoring, determining that transmission for the UE does not exist in a resource block (RB) and a symbol, which are indicated by the DCI comprising the preemption indicator,
wherein the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is not applied to reception of at least one of a synchronization signal (SS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH).

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising obtaining slot format indicator information, and
wherein a symbol indicated as an uplink (UL) in the slot format indicator information is excluded from symbols indicated by the DCI comprising the preemption indicator.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein a result of excluding the symbol indicated as the UL in the slot format indicator information from the symbols indicated by the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is obtained based on a number of symbols.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein, when k symbols exist as a result of excluding the symbol indicated as the UL in the slot format indicator information from the symbols indicated by the DCI comprising the preemption indicator, and a number of bits of a field of the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is n, each of the bits indicates whether transmission with respect to the UE exists for
⌈
k
n
⌉
consecutive symbols or

k
n

consecutive symbols.

### Claim 5

A method, performed by a base station (BS), of transmitting and receiving control information in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
providing an upper layer parameter about preemption to a user equipment (UE);
providing, to the UE, a Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) for downlink control information (DCI) comprising a preemption indicator; and
transmitting, to the UE, the DCI comprising the preemption indicator via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH),
wherein a resource block (RB) and a symbol that are indicated by the DCI comprising the preemption indicator are configured not to allow transmission for the UE, and
the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is not applied to reception of at least one of a synchronization signal (SS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH).

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method of claim 5, further comprising providing slot format indicator information to the UE, and
wherein a symbol indicated as an uplink (UL) in the slot format indicator information is excluded from symbols indicated by the DCI comprising the preemption indicator.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The method of claim 6, wherein a result of excluding the symbol indicated as the UL in the slot format indicator information from the symbols indicated by the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is obtained based on a number of symbols.

### Claim 8

A user equipment (UE) for transmitting and receiving control information in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:
a transceiver;
a communicator;
a memory storing one or more instructions; and
a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory,
wherein the processor is further configured to execute the one or more instructions to
obtain a Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) for downlink control information (DCI) comprising a preemption indicator when an upper layer parameter about preemption is provided,
perform monitoring on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) via which the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is transmitted, based on the RNTI for the DCI comprising the preemption indicator, and,
when the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is detected as a result of the performing of the monitoring, determine that transmission for the UE does not exist in a resource block (RB) and a symbol, which are indicated by the DCI comprising the preemption indicator,
wherein the DCI comprising the preemption indicator is not applied to reception of at least one of a synchronization signal (SS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH).
