Abstract
The present disclosed technology is a generally two-dimensional display and audible alarm to show notification and urgency information from multiple object detection radar sensors on a vehicle. When a particular sensor is reporting to the vehicle's operation and control center, the corresponding light(s) according to a top view of the vehicle in the array may light up, pulse or flash accordingly. In addition, an audible alarm may operate in concert and emphasis with the light(s) display.
Claims34
A display for a vehicle object detection radar system with a plurality of radar sensors, the display comprising:
- a generally 2-dimensional display surface;
- a plurality of sectors of lights on or in the display surface for indication of location of a detected object;
- the plurality of sectors of lights being arranged on or in said display surface to correspond schematically spatially with the plurality of radar sensors on the vehicle.
A radar object detection system for a vehicle, the system comprising:
- a plurality of radar sensors mounted on sides of the vehicle;
- and
- a display comprising:
- a generally 2-dimensional display surface;
- a plurality of sectors of lights on or in the display surface for indication of location of a detected object;
- the plurality of sections of lights being arranged on or in said display surface to correspond schematically spatially with the plurality of radar sensors on the vehicle.
A display for an operator of a vehicle equipped with a plurality of object detection radar sensors, the display comprising:
- a generally 2-dimensional display surface;
- a plurality of lights on, in, or near the display surface;
- the lights being positioned near the outer perimeter edge of the display surface at a one o'clock, two o'clock, four o'clock, five o'clock, seven o'clock, eight o'clock, ten o'clock, and eleven o'clock positions when the display surface is viewed as the face of a 12-hour clock;
- and
- the lights being adapted to being responsive to the plurality of object detection radars sensors in a spatially-corresponding manner.
