Abstract
A cartridge, an analysis system and a method for analyzing, in particular, a biological sample, wherein a first group having one or more valves and a second group having one or more valves can be or are actuated from different sides of the cartridge.
Claims20
An analysis system for testing a biological sample, comprising:
- a cartridge for receiving a sample, and
- an analysis device for testing the sample,
- the cartridge comprising a fluid system having a plurality of channels formed in said cartridge and a plurality of valves for controlling the flow of sample or fluid through the fluid system provided in said cartridge, and
- the analysis device comprising a plurality of actuation apparatus for actuating the valves,
- wherein at least one of the actuation apparatus is able to actuate at least one of the valves from a first side of the cartridge and at least one other of the actuation apparatus is able to actuate at least one of the valves from a second, opposing side of the cartridge, and
- wherein at least one of the actuation apparatus is able to actuate a plurality of valves at the same time.

A method for testing a biological sample, comprising:
- receiving a sample in a cartridge and
- at least partially receiving the cartridge containing the sample in an analysis device,
- controlling a flow of the sample by means of a plurality of mechanically actuated valves,
- actuating a first group of said valves and a second group of said valves from different sides of the cartridge, wherein a plurality of valves is actuated at the same time by means of a common actuation apparatus.
