Abstract
A method of attaching a jaw protector to a helmet. The method includes fastening, with a first fastening means, a jaw protector to an outside face of a brace at a first position; and fastening, with a second fastening means, an inside face of the brace to the helmet at a second position. The helmet accessory system includes a cantilevered jaw protector; a brace; and a fastening means, wherein the fastening means is configured to attach the cantilevered jaw protector to the brace at a first position; and attach the brace to a helmet at a second position.

A helmet accessory system comprising:
- a cantilevered jaw protector;
- a brace;
- and
- a fastening means, wherein the fastening means is configured to:
- attach the cantilevered jaw protector to the brace at a first position;
- and
- attach the brace to a helmet at a second position.
A method of attaching a jaw protector to a helmet, the method comprising:
- fastening, with a first fastening means, a jaw protector to an outside face of a brace at a first position;
- and
- fastening, with a second fastening means, an inside face of the brace to the helmet at a second position.
