Abstract
A nut processing apparatus includes a pair of side panels with a vacuum duct connected thereto. The nut processing apparatus which may be referred to as a vacuum unit is configured to be mounted directly to other nut processing equipment such as for example a stick remover. The vacuum unit includes a vacuum duct with an upper stationary portion and a lower pivotable portion.
Claims14
An nut processing apparatus comprising:
- a first side panel;
- a second side panel spaced from the first side panel, the first and second side panels having outwardly extending flanges configured to connect to an additional nut processing apparatus;
- and
- a vacuum duct mounted to the first and second panels, the vacuum duct having a stationary portion and a lower portion pivotably connected to the starting position.

A nut processing apparatus comprising:
- a stick remover with an intake end;
- and
- a vacuum unit mounted to the stick remover forward of the intake end and configured to vacuum debris from a nut product stream moving on the stick remover.
A nut processing apparatus comprising:
- a stick remover with an intake end;
- a vacuum unit connected to the stick remover;
- and
- a delivery conveyor positioned to convey nuts from a nut product stream to additional nut processing apparatus.
