Abstract
A water purification system for an ornamental aquarium is easily assembled as either a canister or a hang-on-back type model with a water tank or aquarium without compromising with an aesthetic appearance and low noise. The filtration element includes filtration blocks connectible in series for function and can be disassembled into a plurality of blocks that are reassembled to form the canister model and the hang-on-back model with a secure positioning feature.
Claims12
A water purification system, that purifies water-to-be-cleaned by filtration, comprising:
- a filtration element comprising a plurality of filtration blocks that are connectible to each other in a water-flow-series;
- each said filtration block, further comprising:
- a filtration main unit that has a housing that includes a filtration material housing element having two openings connectible to an external element and attachable to an external wall of an aquarium and releasably securable thereon;
- and
- a filtration unit cover that mantles at least one external side of said filtration material housing element of said filtration main unit;
- and
- wherein upon an assembly said water purification system forms a rectangular parallelepiped.
A filtration block, comprising:
- a filtration main unit that further comprises:
- a housing that includes a filtration material housing element, which filtrates a water-to-be-cleaned, that comprises two openings at each end that are connectible to an external element and attachable to an external wall of an aquarium and fixable thereon;
- a filtration unit cover that mantles at least a side surface of said filtration material housing element of said housing of said filtration main unit;
- and
- wherein said filtration block is a rectangular parallelepiped.
A filtration block, comprising:
- a plurality of filtration main units that comprises a housing that includes a filtration material housing element, which filtrates water-to-be-cleaned, that comprises two openings at each top-end, which is connectible to an external element and attachable to an external wall of an aquarium and fixable thereon;
- a bottom-portion cover that allows said plurality of filtration main units to stand so that each opening faces upward and to be housed under a condition in a direction in which thickness thereof increases and has an open top-end.
A water purification system, comprising:
- said plurality of filtration blocks that further comprises a plurality of cylinder cartridges including a filtration material, wherein a water exit of a number n cylinder cartridge is connected water-passage-wise with a water intake of a number n+1 cylinder cartridge;
- each cylinder cartridge standing in a respective perpendicular direction and arrayed in flow-parallel, and said water exit of said number n filtration block is connected water-passage-wise with said water intake of said number n+1 filtration block, so that all said plurality of cylinder cartridges housed in said plurality of filtration blocks are connected water-passage-wise and in series,
- and a first layout, in which said plurality of filtration blocks is arrayed in at least one arrangement selected from a first direction in which a length of said plurality of filtration blocks is increasing, and a second direction in which said plurality of filtration blocks is arrayed in line in a direction in which a thickness of said filtration block increases.
