Abstract
A mobile device accessory comprising a base that affixes to a mobile device, and a rotating element, such as a rotary ball-bearing disc, coupled to said base allowing for the device to spin along the axis of the rotating element. The accessory may further comprise hinged or extendable arms. The accessory may further comprise a power source or motor for rotating the accessory. The accessory may further comprise a control circuit coupled to a software application capable of controlling the rotation of the spinning element.
Claims20
A mobile device accessory comprising:
- a base having a means for being physically affixed to said mobile device along a first surface of the base;
- a ball-bearing comprised of a first ring, a second ring, wherein said first ring and second ring are concentric and wherein balls are situtated in the space defined between said first ring and second ring;
- wherein said ball-bearing is physically affixed to said base on the surface opposite said first surface of said base to allow said first ring to rotate relative to said second ring.
A mobile device case for housing a mobile device, comprising:
- a case body for housing the mobile device;
- and
- a rotating device attached to the case body, the rotating device including:
- a ball bearing comprised of two concentric rings with balls interposed between said rings,
- wherein one of said rings is stationary relative to said mobile device case and the second said ring can rotate freely along access of said ball bearing device, and
- a foot disposed at the distal end of the ball bearing providing traction between said ball bearing and a surface to allow said mobile device to be spun around the axis of said ball bearing.
An accessory for attaching to a mobile device or to a mobile device case, comprising:
- a securing element for attaching the accessory to the back of the mobile device or mobile device case;
- and
- a rotating element connected to the securing element, the rotating element capable of spinning generally around its center axis orthogonal from the mobile device;
- and
- a foot disposed at the distal end of the accessory providing traction between said accessory distal surface and another surface.
