Wireless broadband meter collar

A method in a broadband access premise device comprising:

• communicating, by a first communication module of the broadband access premise device, with an internet network using a first telecommunication protocol via a first antenna and accessing internet services available on the internet network;
• providing, by a second communication module of the broadband access premise device, access to the internet services via the first communication module by utilizing wiring of an electrical utility meter;
• and
• supplying, by a power interface module of the broadband access premise device coupled to the first and second communication modules, electrical power to the first and second communication modules from the electric utility meter.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing computer executable instructions, that when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or one or more processors perform operations, the operations comprising:

• communicating, by a first communication module of a broadband access premise device, with an internet network using a first telecommunication protocol via a first antenna and accessing internet services available on the internet network;
• providing, by a second communication module of the broadband access premise device, access to the internet services via the first communication module by utilizing wiring of an electrical utility meter;
• and
• supplying, by a power interface module of the broadband access premise device coupled to the first and second communication modules, electrical power to the first and second communication modules from the electric utility meter.
