Abstract
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for creating a Definable Blockchain in a Chip along with other components that can receive process and communicate information to enable locating, identifying, and tracking physical Assets and data contained within the Assets. More specifically, the present disclosure presents a Definable Blockchain in a Chip that can be inserted into product labels or packaging which can communicate via Bluetooth with a Smartphone or other Authenticated Radio Source to update the Definable Blockchain with a validated transaction and then optionally provide that information to a Cloud.

A global resource locator label comprising:
- a semiconductor chip comprising a processor and a micro sized timing device generating a timing signal capable of accuracy of 10−7 seconds per day;
- a memory in logical communication with the processor and storing:
- a unique identifier, a public key, a private key, and a hash;
- a blockchain stored in the semiconductor chip;
- a communication device capable of wireless communication with an authenticated radio source, the micro sized timing device and the blockchain;
- a wireless transceiver for receiving wireless timing signals from at least three authenticated radio sources, each authenticated radio source located at a respective reference location;
- an adhesive for affixing the label comprising the semiconductor chip and blockchain to an product and thereby fixedly associate each of the blockchain, the unique identifier, public key and private key pair with the product;
- and
- executable software stored on the memory and executable on demand, the software operative with the processor to:
- receive respective transmissions from the at least three authenticated radio sources;
- determine a geospatial location based upon the respective transmissions from the at least three authenticated radio sources and timing signal capable of accuracy of 10−7 seconds per day;
- store the geospatial location on the blockchain as a blockchain entry;
- and
- transmit the blockchain storing the geospatial location, the unique identifier, and the public key to a smart device.
A method of identifying a product using a global resource locator label, the method comprising:
- entering a value for a unique identifier and a private key into a memory of a blockchain in a global resource locator label, said global resource locator label comprising a processor, a memory storing executable software, a micro sized timing device, and a transceiver;
- establishing a blockchain in the memory;
- entering the unique identifier into the blockchain;
- associating the private key with access to contents of the blockchain;
- affixing the global resource locator label to the product;
- associating the unique identifier with the product;
- receiving respective transmissions from at least three authenticated radio sources;
- determining a geospatial location based upon the respective transmissions from the at least three authenticated radio sources and timing;
- storing the geospatial location on the blockchain as a blockchain entry;
- transmitting the blockchain storing the geospatial location, the unique identifier, and a public key to a smart device;
- and
- verifying, on the smart device, information related to the product, using one or more of:
- the public key, and the unique identifier.
