Wiring-integrity automatic monitoring system having improved features

An automatic monitoring system (1) for monitoring the integrity of a wiring (2), said wiring (2) having a number of cables (3), each provided with at least one respective pair of electrical wires (3′) configured to couple, in given operating conditions, a respective electrical load (4) to a power supply source (5),

• said system (1) comprising:
• an integrity measuring unit (18), configured to be coupled to said electrical wires (3′) in order to perform electrical measurements and check for the presence of faults (7) along said electrical wires (3′);
• and
• a detection unit (16), configured to detect a voltage present in said electrical wires (3′) and to enable said integrity measuring unit (18) only in case said voltage has a predetermined relation with a voltage threshold, indicating the fact that said electrical load (4) is not powered by said power supply source (5);
• wherein said integrity measuring unit (18) comprises an impedance measuring circuit (18′), which is configured to apply a measurement signal to a circuit formed by the pair of electrical wires (3′) and to obtain a value of the impedance of said circuit;
• said integrity measuring unit (18) being configured to check for the presence of a fault (7) depending on said impedance value.
