Abstract
Disclosed is a system and method for monitoring a characteristic of an environment of an electronic device. The electronic device may include a printed circuit board and a component. A sensor is placed on the printed circuit board, and may be between the component and the board, and connects to a monitor, or detector. An end user device may be used to store, assess, display and understand the data received from the sensor through the monitor.
Claims40
A system for monitoring a characteristic of an environment of an electronic device comprising a printed circuit board and at least one component, said system comprising:
- a sensor coupled to one of said component and said printed circuit board, wherein said sensor provides a response to at least one element in said environment;
- a detector connected to said sensor, wherein said detector comprises a device enabled to monitor data from said sensor.
A method of monitoring a characteristic of an environment of an electronic device comprising a printed circuit board and at least one component, said method comprising:
- placing a sensor on said printed circuit board;
- connecting a detector to said sensor;
- and
- connecting said detector to an end user device.
