Abstract
A method for producing a protein is provided. An objective protein is produced by culturing Talaromyces cellulolyticus having an objective protein-producing ability, which has been modified so that the activity of a YscB protein is reduced, in a culture medium.

A method for producing an objective protein, comprising
- culturing Talaromyces cellulolyticus having an ability to produce an objective protein in a culture medium,
- wherein the Talaromyces cellulolyticus has been modified so that the activity of a YscB protein is reduced as compared with a non-modified Talaromyces cellulolyticus.
