- describes an affine shape of the guidance indicator.
A method of forming a visual localization support system, comprising:
- placing one or more guidance indicators on a road surface, wherein the one or more guidance indicators include a matrix barcode that uniquely identify a location by latitude, longitude, and altitude, and describes an affine shape of the guidance indicator.
A road map system, comprising:
- a camera;
- and
- an autonomous driving system in electronic communication with the camera, wherein the camera is configured to capture one or more images of a guidance indicator, and the autonomous driving system interprets the image of the guidance indicator to determine the location of the guidance indicator.
