Configuring uplink control channel resources for communications in a shared radio frequency spectrum

An apparatus for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a processor,
• memory in electronic communication with the processor;
• and
• instructions stored in the memory, wherein the instructions are executable by the processor to:
• receive, from a base station, a resource configuration, the resource configuration comprising a first parameter indicating a set of transmission time intervals (TTIs) for transmitting uplink control information in a shared radio frequency spectrum band;
• perform a channel access procedure to obtain access to the shared radio frequency spectrum band;
• and
• transmit one or more instances of the uplink control information in one or more TTIs of the set of TTIs, wherein a number of the one or more instances is based at least in part on a conclusion of the channel access procedure and a number of TTIs in the set of TTIs.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing code for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), the code comprising instructions executable to:

• receive, from a base station, a resource configuration, the resource configuration comprising a first parameter indicating a set of transmission time intervals (TTIs) for transmitting uplink control information in a shared radio frequency spectrum band;
• perform a channel access procedure to obtain access to the shared radio frequency spectrum band;
• and
• transmit one or more instances of the uplink control information in one or more TTIs of the set of TTIs, wherein a number of the one or more instances is based at least in part on a conclusion of the channel access procedure and a number of TTIs in the set of TTIs.
