Abstract
A display control apparatus includes detection means (a proximity sensor 75) configured to detect that an object has approached, and control means (a system control unit 50) configured to perform control such that in response to the detection means detecting that the object has approached, a display of a first display unit (a monitor 28) is turned off. In a case where interval shooting or long exposure shooting is performed, the control means performs control such that in response to the detection means detecting that the object has approached (S411), the display of the first display unit is turned on (S413).
Claims19
A display control apparatus comprising:
- detection means configured to detect that an object has approached;
- and
- control means configured to, in response to the detection means detecting that the object has approached, perform control to turn off a display of a first display unit,
- wherein the control means performs control, in a case where interval shooting or long exposure shooting is performed, in response to the detection means detecting that the object has approached, to turn on the display of the first display unit.
A method of controlling a display control apparatus, the display control apparatus including detection means configured to detect that an object has approached, the method comprising
- performing control such that in response to the detection means detecting that the object has approached, a display of a first display unit is turned off,
- wherein in the performing of control, in a case where interval shooting or long exposure shooting is performed, in response to the detection means detecting that the object has approached, the display of the first display unit is turned on.
