Abstract
An apparatus includes a catheter, and an electrode and methods of delivering molecules to eukaryotic cells using such an apparatus. The catheter defines a fluidic channel and has a distal opening. The electrode is within the fluidic channel and is spaced a distance from the distal opening of the catheter. The catheter is arranged to prevent direct contact between any electrode of the apparatus and tissue. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.
Claims46
An apparatus comprising:
- a catheter defining a fluidic channel and having a distal opening;
- an electrode within the fluidic channel and spaced a distance from the distal opening of the catheter;
- wherein the catheter is arranged to prevent direct contact between any electrode of the apparatus and tissue.
A system comprising:
- a pump;
- a power supply;
- a catheter coupled to the pump, defining a fluidic channel, and having a distal opening;
- and
- an electrode electrically coupled to the power supply, within the fluidic channel, and spaced a distance from the distal opening of the catheter;
- wherein the catheter prevents direct contact between any electrode of the system and tissue.
3 more elements
A method comprising:
- charging an electrode within a fluidic channel defined by a catheter having a distal opening, the electrode spaced from the distal opening by a distance, the catheter arranged to prevent direct contact between any electrode and tissue;
- and
- supplying to the fluidic channel, a metered volume of fluid to deliver fluid to a target.
