Abstract
An occlusion device with particular utility in occlusion of left atrial appendages is described. The occlusion device embodiments utilize an inflatable balloon or expandable element used to occlude the treatment site.
Claims20
An occlusion device to occlude a treatment site comprising:
- a balloon;
- an inflation fluid delivery member delivering inflation fluid to inflate the balloon;
- an adhesive delivery member delivering adhesive to bind the balloon to the treatment site.
An occlusion device to occlude a treatment site comprising:
- a proximal hemostasis valve with a first and a second port;
- an inflation fluid channel in communication with the first port to deliver inflation fluid to a distal balloon;
- an adhesive delivery channel in communication with the second port to deliver adhesive to bind the distal balloon to the treatment site.
An occlusive system to occlude a treatment site:
- a first syringe containing inflation fluid;
- a second syringe containing adhesive;
- an inflation fluid channel in communication with the first syringe to deliver inflation fluid from the first syringe to a distal balloon;
- an adhesive delivery channel in communication with the second syringe to deliver adhesive to bind the distal balloon to the treatment site.
