Abstract
A method of transmitting and receiving a random access channel is proposed. In particular, the method includes receiving information on a specific bandwidth for transmitting a RACH preamble and information on the number of RACH frequency resources allocated in the specific bandwidth, and transmitting the RACH preamble over at least one RACH frequency resource among a plurality of RACH frequency resources allocated by the number of the RACH frequency resources in the specific bandwidth, wherein the specific bandwidth is configured as a portion of an entire system bandwidth.

A method of transmitting a random access channel (RACH) by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving information on a bandwidth for initial access;
- receiving position information of RACH frequency resource allocated in the bandwidth and information on a number of RACH frequency resource related to a RACH time resource;
- and
- transmitting the RACH on at least one RACH frequency resource configured based on the position information of RACH frequency resource and the number of RACH frequency resource,
- wherein the bandwidth is configured as a part of a system bandwidth, and
- wherein the position information of RACH frequency resource is offset information on a relative position from a lowest frequency of the bandwidth to a RACH frequency resource having a lowest index.
A user equipment (UE) for transmitting a random access channel (RACH) in a wireless communication system, comprising:
- a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a radio signal to and from a base station (BS);
- and
- a processor connected to the transceiver and configured to control the transceiver,
- wherein the processor controls the transceiver to receive information on a bandwidth for initial access;
- controls the transceiver to receive position information of RACH frequency resource allocated in the bandwidth and information on a number of RACH frequency resource related to a RACH time resource;
- and
- controls the transceiver to transmit the RACH on at least one RACH frequency resource configured based on the position information of RACH frequency resource and the number of RACH frequency resource,
- wherein the bandwidth is configured as a part of a system bandwidth, and
- wherein the position information of RACH frequency resource is offset information on a relative position from a lowest frequency of the bandwidth to a RACH frequency resource having a lowest index.
A base station (BS) for receiving a random access channel (RACH) in a wireless communication system, the BS comprising:
- a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a radio signal to and from a user equipment (UE);
- and
- a processor connected to the transceiver and configured to control the transceiver,
- wherein the processor controls the transceiver to transmit information on a bandwidth for initial access;
- controls the transceiver to transmit position information of RACH frequency resource allocated in the bandwidth and information on a number of RACH frequency resource related to a RACH time resource;
- and
- controls the transceiver to receive the RACH on at least one RACH frequency resource configured based on the position information of RACH frequency resource and the number of RACH frequency resource, and
- wherein the bandwidth is configured as a part of a system bandwidth, and
- wherein the position information of RACH frequency resource is offset information on a relative position from a lowest frequency of the bandwidth to a RACH frequency resource having a lowest index.
