Abstract
A paging message sending method includes determining, by a first terminal, that a second terminal is paged. The method further includes sending, by the first terminal to the second terminal, a first message. The first message is used to enable the second terminal to determine that the second terminal is paged.
Claims25
A paging message sending method implemented by a first terminal, the paging message sending method comprising:
- determining that a second terminal has been paged;
- and
- sending a first message to the second terminal in response to the determining,
- wherein the first message comprises a first identifier that enables the second terminal to determine that the second terminal is paged,
- wherein the first message further comprises a first indication that indicates a paging type,
- wherein the first identifier is one of a first identifier of the second terminal when the first terminal is connected to the second terminal, a second identifier allocated by the first terminal to the second terminal on a time resource for paging the second terminal, or a proximity service terminal identifier (ProSe UE ID) of the second terminal, and
- wherein the paging type corresponds to a type of paging used by a network device to page the second terminal and is one of an S-temporary mobile subscriber identity (S-TMSI), an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI), normal page, or an abnormal page.

A data transmission method implemented by a first terminal, the data transmission method comprising:
- sending first information to a second terminal using control signaling,
- wherein the first information indicates a type of the control signaling, and
- wherein the type of the control signaling comprises control signaling for scheduling the first terminal to perform communication, scheduling the second terminal to perform communication, paging the second terminal, or instructing the first terminal to feed back second information.

A paging message receiving method implemented by a second terminal, the paging message receiving method comprising:
- receiving a first message from a first terminal, wherein the first message comprises a first identifier that enables the second terminal to determine that the second terminal is paged, wherein the first identifier is one of:
- a first identifier of the second terminal when the second terminal is connected to the first terminal;
- a second identifier from the first terminal to the second terminal on a time resource for paging the second terminal;
- or a proximity service terminal identifier (ProSe UE ID) of the second terminal;
- and
- determining, by the second terminal based on the first message, that the second terminal is paged when the first identifier is the same as an identifier of the second terminal,
- wherein the first message further comprises a first indication that indicates a paging type, wherein the paging type corresponds to a type of paging used by a network device to page the second terminal and is one of an S-temporary mobile subscriber identity (S-TMSI), an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI), a normal page, or an abnormal page.
