Audio output devices

A system for controlling a number of audio output devices, comprising:

• a mobile computing device comprising:
• a first audio output device controlled by and positioned on a first side of the mobile computing device;
• a second audio output device controlled by and positioned on a second side of the mobile computing device opposite the first side;
• at least one sensor to determine a position of a user relative to the mobile computing device;
• and
• logic to activate either the first audio device or the second audio device based on the position of the mobile computing device relative to the user;
• and
• an auxiliary audio output detector to detect a number of auxiliary audio output devices external to the mobile computing device.

A computer program product for controlling a number of audio output devices, the computer program product comprising:

• a non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising computer usable program code embodied therewith, the computer usable program code to, when executed by a processor:
• determine an orientation of a mobile computing device based on data obtained from a number of sensors of the mobile computing device, the orientation of the mobile computing device comprising exposing a first side of the mobile computing device to a user and exposing a second side of the mobile computing device to the user;
• and
• in response to a determination that the data indicates that the mobile computing device is oriented to expose the first side of the mobile computing device, activate a first audio output device located on the first side of the mobile computing device and deactivate a second audio output device located on the second side of the mobile computing device.
