Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for filtering reference samples in intra-prediction. An encoded bitstream may be received, information regarding an intra-prediction mode of a current block may be obtained from the bitstream, a filter may be determined based on a signal component of the current block, a width and height of the current block, and a value of at least one among reference samples neighboring the current block, filtered reference samples may be produced by applying the filter to the reference samples, and a predicted sample of the current block may be produced based on the filtered reference samples and the intra-prediction mode.
Claims15
An image decoding method comprising:
- receiving an encoded bitstream;
- obtaining information regarding an intra-prediction mode of a current block from the bitstream;
- determining a filter, based on a signal component of the current block, a width and height of the current block, and a value of at least one among reference samples neighboring the current block;
- producing filtered reference samples by applying the filter to the reference samples;
- and
- producing a predicted sample of the current block, based on the filtered reference samples and the intra-prediction mode.
An image decoding device comprising:
- a receiver configured to receive an encoded bitstream;
- and
- a decoder configured to obtain information regarding an intra-prediction mode of a current block from the bitstream, determine a filter based on a signal component of the current block, a width and height of the current block, and a value of at least one among reference samples neighboring the current block, produce filtered reference samples by applying the filter to the reference samples, and produce a predicted sample of the current block, based on the filtered reference samples and the intra-prediction mode.
An image encoding method comprising:
- determining an intra-prediction mode of a current block;
- determining a filter, based on a signal component of the current block, a width and height of the current block, and a value of at least one of reference samples neighboring the current block;
- producing filtered reference samples by applying the filter to the reference samples;
- producing a predicted sample of the current block, based on the filtered reference samples and the intra-prediction mode;
- and
- encoding information regarding the intra-prediction mode.
