Executing requests for services using shared location data

A computer-implemented method comprising:

• receiving, from a first user device associated with a first user via a social network application, location data representing a current physical location of the first user;
• receiving, from a second user device associated with a second user via the social network application, a request for the current physical location of the first user;
• transmitting, to the second user device and in response to the received request from the second user, a representation of the current physical location of the first user for display within a graphical user interface displayed on the second user device;
• receiving, from the second user device, a request for caravan navigation together with the first user;
• providing, in response to the request for caravan navigation, one or more caravan options for display within the graphical user interface displayed on the second user device;
• receiving, via the second user device, a selection of a caravan option from among the one or more caravan options;
• and
• providing, based on the selected caravan option and the current physical location of the first user, a route for display within the graphical user interface displayed on the second user device.

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a computing device to:

• receive, from a first user device associated with a first user via a social network application, location data representing a current physical location of the first user;
• receive, from a second user device associated with a second user via the social network application, a request for the current physical location of the first user;
• transmit, to the second user device and in response to the received request from the second user, a representation of the current physical location of the first user for display within a graphical user interface displayed on the second user device;
• receive, from the second user device, a request for caravan navigation together with the first user;
• provide, in response to the request for caravan navigation, one or more caravan options for display within the graphical user interface displayed on the second user device;
• receive, via the second user device, a selection of a caravan option from among the one or more caravan options;
• and
• provide, based on the selected caravan option and the current physical location of the first user, a route for display within the graphical user interface displayed on the second user device.

A system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:
• receive, from a first user device associated with a first user via a social network application, location data representing a current physical location of the first user;
• receive, from a second user device associated with a second user via the social network application, a request for the current physical location of the first user;
• transmit, to the second user device and in response to the received request from the second user, a representation of the current physical location of the first user for display within a graphical user interface displayed on the second user device;
• receive, from the second user device, a request for caravan navigation together with the first user;
• provide, in response to the request for caravan navigation, one or more caravan options for display within the graphical user interface displayed on the second user device;
• receive, via the second user device, a selection of a caravan option from among the one or more caravan options;
• and
• provide, based on the selected caravan option and the current physical location of the first user, a route for display within the graphical user interface displayed on the second user device.
