Energy Storage Device For Wireless Environmental Applications

A wirelessly chargeable energy storage device comprising:

• a housing;
• one or more antennas configured to receive wireless radio frequency (RF) power from a wireless charging system;
• one or more printed circuit boards (PCBs) positioned within the housing and coupled with the one or more antennas, the one or more electronic circuit boards configured to convert the received wireless RF power to direct current (DC) power;
• an energy storage device configured to store the DC power;
• and
• an output port electrically couples with the energy storage device, wherein the output port is configured to provide stored DC power from the energy storage device to a cable extending away from the housing and coupled therewith.

A method of manufacturing a wirelessly chargeable battery apparatus comprising:

• coupling one or more antennas configured to receive wireless radio frequency (RF) power from a wireless charging system to one or more electronic circuit boards (PCBs) configured to convert the received wireless RF power to direct current (DC) power;
• coupling one or more batteries configured to store the DC power to the one or more PCBs;
• positioning the one or more PCBs and the one or more batteries within a housing;
• and
• coupling an output port to the one or more batteries, wherein the output port is configured to couple with a cable external to the housing and to provide stored DC power from the one or more batteries to the cable.
