System and Method for Anticipating and Preventing Account Overdrafts

A system comprising:

• data processing hardware;
• and
• memory hardware in communication with the data processing hardware, the memory hardware storing instructions that when executed on the data processing hardware cause the data processing hardware to perform operations comprising:
• receiving financial data for a financial account associated with a user;
• determining a likelihood that the financial account will experience an overdraft event using a funds transaction model configured to predict overdraft events based on the financial data;
• when the likelihood that the financial account will experience the overdraft event exceeds a threshold, transferring an amount of funds into the financial account associated with the user, the amount of funds sufficient to prevent the overdraft event;
• and
• transmitting a notification to a user system associated with the user, the notification indicating the transfer of the amount of funds into the financial account.
