Abstract
Methods, systems and computer program products to detect distracted driving are disclosed. A mobile device is associated with a vehicle driver. Suspect activity associated with the vehicle driver is detected based at least in part on mobile device use data collected by the mobile device. A suspect activity record is generated comprising mobile device use data associated with the detected suspect activity. The suspect activity record and an identifier of the vehicle driver are provided to a repository.

A method of detecting distracted driving, comprising:
- associating a mobile device with a vehicle driver;
- detecting suspect activity associated with the vehicle driver based at least in part on mobile device use data collected by the mobile device;
- generating a suspect activity record comprising mobile device use data associated with the detected suspect activity;
- and
- providing the suspect activity record and an identifier of the vehicle driver to a repository.
A system to detect distracted driving, comprising:
- a memory coupled to at least one processor and configured to provide the at least one processor with instructions;
- and
- the at least one processor configured to:
- associate a mobile device with a vehicle driver;
- detect suspect activity associated with a the vehicle driver based at least in part on mobile device use data collected by a the mobile device associated with the vehicle driver;
- generate a suspect activity record comprising mobile device use data associated with the detected suspect activity;
- and
- provide the suspect activity record and an identifier of the vehicle driver to a repository.
A computer program product having computer program instructions stored on a non-transitory computer readable storage medium for performing a method of detecting distracted driving, comprising:
- associating a mobile device with a vehicle driver;
- detecting suspect activity associated with the vehicle driver based at least in part on mobile device use data collected by the mobile device;
- generating a suspect activity record comprising mobile device use data associated with the detected suspect activity;
- and
- providing the suspect activity record and an identifier of the vehicle driver to a repository.
