Network Slice Management Method and Apparatus

A network slice management apparatus, comprising:

• at least one processor, a transceiver, and
• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium coupled to the at least one processor and storing programming instructions for execution by the at least one processor,
• the transceiver, configured to obtain capability information of a subnet from a second manager, wherein the capability information of the subnet comprises at least one of the following information:
• capability information of a subnet template and capability information of a subnet instance, the capability information of the subnet template is used to represent a feature of the subnet template, and the capability information of the subnet instance is used to represent a feature of the subnet instance;
• and
• the at least one processor, configured to generate information about a network slice based on the capability information of the subnet, wherein the information about the network slice comprises information about a network slice template or information about a network slice instance, and the network slice comprises at least one subnet.

A system for network slice management, comprising:

• a first manager and a second manager;
• wherein:
• the second manager, configured to send capability information of a subnet to a first manager, wherein the capability information of the subnet comprises at least one of the following information:
• capability information of a subnet template and capability information of a subnet instance, the capability information of the subnet template is used to represent a feature of the subnet template, and the capability information of the subnet instance is used to represent a feature of the subnet instance;
• the first manager, configured to receiver the capability information of a subnet;
• and generate information about a network slice based on the capability information of the subnet, wherein the information about the network slice comprises information about a network slice template or information about a network slice instance, and the network slice comprises at least one subnet.
