Abstract
An electrolyte additive composition of the present invention may improve high-rate charge and discharge characteristics and high-temperature storage and life characteristics of a lithium secondary battery when the electrolyte additive composition is used in an electrolyte while including a novel borate-based lithium compound as well as a non-lithiated additive.
Claims20
An electrolyte additive composition comprising:
- a borate-based lithium compound represented by Formula 1;
- and
- a non-lithiated additive,
- wherein the non-lithiated additive comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a vinyl silane-based compound and a sulfate-based compound, and
- the electrolyte additive composition does not comprise a phosphate-based compound:
- wherein, in Formula 1,
- Y1 to Y4 are each independently oxygen (O) or sulfur (S).
