• wherein the display and operating unit is connected or can be connected to the central control unit and is configured to execute augmented reality functions on a display of the display and operating unit,
• wherein each of the functional modules has a plurality of connections for connecting participants, in particular fire alarms, signal generators and/or actuators,
• wherein the method is adapted in such a manner that the display and operating unit displays functional module data belonging to one of the functional modules in the form of augmented reality.

• wherein the fire alarm and/or extinguishing control center has a central control unit and a plurality of functional modules connected to the central control unit,
• wherein the display and operating unit is connected or can be connected to the central control unit,
• wherein each of the functional modules has a plurality of connections for connecting participants, in particular fire alarms, signal generators and/or actuators, and an interaction unit for interacting with an operator,
• wherein the display and operating unit is configured to display functional module data belonging to one of the functional modules, wherein the display of the functional module data depends on an interaction of the interaction unit of the functional module and/or the interaction of the interaction unit of the functional module depends on the display of the functional module data.
