Abstract
A method at a computing device for determining future utilization of a shipping yard, the method including detecting a number of assets within the shipping yard; determining, based on asset scheduling information, future yard activity; and correlating the number of assets within the shipping yard with the future yard activity to provide a predictive yard utilization.

A method at a computing device for determining future utilization of a shipping yard, the method comprising:
- detecting a number of assets within the shipping yard;
- determining, based on asset scheduling information, future yard activity;
- and
- correlating the number of assets within the shipping yard with the future yard activity to provide a predictive yard utilization.
A computing device configured for determining future utilization of a shipping yard, the computing device comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a communications subsystem;
- wherein the computing device is configured to:
- detect a number of assets within the shipping yard;
- determine, based on asset scheduling information, future yard activity;
- and
- correlate the number of assets within the shipping yard with the future yard activity to provide a predictive yard utilization.
A computer readable medium for storing instruction code which, when executed by a processor of a computing device configured for determining future utilization of a shipping yard, cause the computing device to:
- detect a number of assets within the shipping yard;
- determining, based on asset scheduling information, future yard activity;
- and
- correlate the number of assets within the shipping yard with the future yard activity to provide a predictive yard utilization.
