Abstract
A mobile electronic device includes a flexible display having a front display surface and a back non-display surface; and a folding mechanism configured such that the display is folded with back non-display surfaces facing each other. The folding mechanism may include at least one rounded radius about which the display is folded, and may be configured such that the display is folded a plurality of times. The mobile electronic device may take the form of a display accessory including a docking mechanism for receiving a primary mobile electronic device.
Claims11
A mobile electronic device comprising a housing coupled to a foldable display, wherein the foldable display is configured to fold about opposites sides of the housing so as to overlap at a backside of the housing, wherein the housing houses a main processor of the mobile electronic device.
A mobile electronic device comprising:
- a foldable touchscreen display having at least a first segment, a second segment and a third segment;
- and
- a housing for supporting the continuous foldable touchscreen display and configured such that the first sement and the second segment are stowed leaving only the third segment facing a forward direction.
A mobile electronic device comprising:
- a flexible display having a front display surface and a back non-display surface;
- and
- a folding mechanism configured such that the display is folded twice with the front display surface facing outward from both a first folding radius and a second folding radius.
A mobile electronic device comprising:
- a flexible display having a front display surface and a back non-display surface;
- and
- a folding mechanism configured such that the display is folded with:
- a) back non-display surfaces facing each other;
- and b) with a back non-display surface facing a front display surface.
