Abstract
A fiber optic connector with a pair resilient actuators positioned on an outer portion of an upper body portion of a cable boot assembly, when depressed allow a user to remove the cable boot assembly from a housing, rotate, and change polarity of the ferrules located within a front body secured to the cable boot assembly.
Claims10
A fiber optic connector, comprising:
- at least one flexible actuator on outer surface of an upper body portion of a cable boot assembly;
- the at least one flexible actuator is depressed inward and out of a cut-out of a receptacle;
- a cavity is formed in the upper body portion configured to accept a portion of the actuator in the cavity;
- and wherein depressing the at least one actuator releases the fiber connector from the receptacle when the cable boot assembly is pulled in a distal direction.
1 more element
A cable boot assembly, comprising:
- an upper body portion and a lower body portion;
- the upper body portion has at least one actuator;
- the upper body portion has at least one opening formed with the upper body portion and underneath the actuator;
- and wherein
- depressing the at least one actuator moves the actuator inward into the opening;
- thereby, allowing the cable boot assembly to be removed from a housing.
