Abstract
Provided is an armrest device that can be positioned in an appropriate position suitable for the build of the vehicle occupant. The armrest device (10) comprises an interior member (1) provided on an inboard side of a vehicle door, and an armrest main body (9) supported by the interior member so as to be moveable between an initial position and a projecting position more inboard and forward than the initial position.

An armrest device, comprising:
- an interior member provided on an inboard side of a vehicle door;
- and
- an armrest main body supported by the interior member via a slide mechanism so as to be moveable between an initial position and a projecting position more inboard and forward than the initial position;
- and
- a light source provided on a part of the interior member opposing the armrest main body,
- wherein the light source is positioned in front of the slide mechanism.

An armrest device comprising:
- an interior member provided on an inboard side of a vehicle door;
- an armrest main body supported by the interior member via a slide mechanism so as to be moveable between an initial position and a projecting position more inboard and forward than the initial position;
- and
- a light source provided on a part of the interior member opposing the armrest main body,
- wherein the interior member, the armrest main body and the light source cooperate with each other so as to form an illumination unit for illuminating the edge part of the armrest main body, and
- the light from the light source is reflected by the interior member and the armrest main body, and leaks through a gap defined between the interior member and an edge part of the armrest main body.
