Abstract
A printing system includes a printing apparatus that includes a printhead which discharges ink and a carriage which supports the printhead, a lifting unit configured to lift the printhead from the carriage, and a guide unit configured to guide the lifting unit to move in a horizontal direction.

A printing system comprising:
- a printing apparatus that includes a printhead which discharges ink and a carriage which supports the printhead;
- a lifting unit configured to lift the printhead from the carriage;
- and
- a guide unit configured to guide the lifting unit to move in a horizontal direction.
A work support apparatus that supports a replacement operation of a printhead in a printing apparatus that includes the printhead which discharges ink and a carriage supporting the printhead, comprising:
- a lifting unit configured to lift the printhead from the carriage;
- and
- a guide unit configured to guide the lifting unit to move in a horizontal direction.
A method of replacing a printhead in a printing apparatus that includes the printhead which discharges ink and a carriage supporting the printhead, the method comprising:
- lifting the printhead from the carriage by a lifting unit;
- and
- moving the printhead together with the lifting unit in a horizontal direction.
