Abstract
The present disclosure provides one filter with multiple standing compression seals that work together to seal against the mating filter housing assembly. The first compression bead design enables the second bead to seal against the Housing surface for maximum sealing performance for preventing unfiltered fluid from passing through a filter housing assembly.

A filter for installation into a housing that has a gasket that compresses and forms a seal with a surface of a housing, the filter comprising:
- a filter body made of porous material;
- a gasket formed around the perimeter of the filter body;
- and
- a seal formed on the gasket and positioned to engage the surface of the housing, the seal including two raised formations of compressible material having different sizes.
A filter housing assembly having a sealing mechanism between a filter body and a housing and that includes a means for preventing unfiltered air from passing through the assembly, the assembly comprising:
- a housing with inlet and outlet for fluid flow;
- a filter body made of porous material;
- a gasket formed around the perimeter of the filter body, and
- a seal formed on the gasket and positioned to engage the surface of the housing, the seal including two raised formations of compressible material having different heights relative to a plane.
