A method of increasing cellular NAD+ in a subject, comprising
- orally administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising a first agent and a second agent,
- wherein
- the first agent is selected from the group consisting of tryptophan, quinolinic acid, nicotinamide, nicotinamide mononucleotide, nicotinamide riboside, and nicotinic acid;
- and
- the second agent is an anti-oxidant.
