Abstract
A granulated defoamer has a dry ammonium sulfate which has been combined with a mixture of at least two of the following materials, anionic surfactant, an organic acid and a defoamer. The method of creating the granulated defoamer and method of using the same in agricultural spraying of vegetation.

A granulated adjuvant comprising
- granulated ammonium sulfate and a mixture of a defoamer and at least one material selected from the group consisting of an anionic surfactant, and an organic acid and
- said mixture being a coating on said ammonium sulfate granules.
A granulated adjuvant comprising
- ammonium sulfate granules and at least one material selected from the group consisting of a defoamer and an anionic surfactant,
- said material being a coating on said ammonium sulfate granules, and
- said granulated adjuvant being water soluble.
A granulated adjuvant comprising,
- ammonium sulfate granules coated with a mixture of (a) at least one defoamer selected from the group consisting of emulsified silicone defoamer, polydimethyl siloxane, silicon dioxide and polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane and (b) a surfactant selected from the group consisting of 80 percent dioctyl sulphosuccinate solution, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth-4 phosphate and sodium stearate and (c) an organic acid selected from the group consisting of citric acid, nitrilotriacetic acid ascorbic acid and acetic acid.
A method of making a water soluble granulated adjuvant comprising,
- combining a surfactant and a defoamer and blending the same,
- introducing said blended material into a mixer,
- introducing an organic acid and said ammonium sulfate granules into said mixer, and effecting by said mixer coating of said ammonium sulfate granules with a mixture of said defoamer, said surfactant and an organic acid.
A method of defoaming an agricultural spray composition comprising
- combining a surfactant and a defoamer and blending the same,
- introducing said blended material into a mixer,
- introducing an organic acid and said granulated and said ammonium sulfate granules into said mixer,
- effecting by said mixer a coating of said ammonium sulfate granules with said mixture of a defoamer, a surfactant and an organic acid,
- dissolving said granulated adjuvant in water in a spray tank,
- providing at least one pesticide in said spray tank, and
- spraying said defoamed pesticide solution over the area desired to be protected.
